Missing Pieces: A Prototype Adventure in Submarine Salvage

Missing Pieces is a game prototype developed during a weekly itch.io game jam.

The submarine is equipped with a grappling hook that can reel in scrap resources. Search for resources buried in the seabed, and use them to upgrade your vessel.

Originally planned to be an endless 2D side-scrolling shooter, we experimented with the ability to also move "inward and outward." Another endless procedural area was made possible with ProcMod, placing collectible items among looming skyscraper ruins.

The vessel can shoot harpoons, though no enemies exist to thwart your scavenging. Stretch ideas included multiplayer/PVP, ship building and customization.
